The arrangement
How the work is offered.
Additional work for experienced cleaners, alongside whatever you already do.
01
Jobs are offered, not assigned
Each offer carries the scope, area, date, hours and the pay. You accept or decline it. No quota.
02
The scope is agreed in writing
You get it before the job, so what is and is not included is settled in advance.
03
Non-exclusive
Your own clients and any other work you take on remain your own business.
04
We manage the customer
Quoting, scoping, payment collection and anything raised afterwards sits with us.
How pay is set
Pay is specific to the assignment. It reflects objective factors such as the type of clean, its scope, the estimated cleaner-hours, the responsibility and experience the job calls for, geography and travel, urgency, and whether the work is at a weekend or otherwise difficult to fill.
The same criteria apply to every cleaner we work with.
How it works
From registering to your first offered job.
Four stages, and you will know where you stand at each one. Registering does not commit you to anything.
01
Register
Tell us about your experience, the areas you cover and when you are usually free.
02
Short conversation
If there looks to be a fit, we speak with you and clarify the type of work you are interested in.
03
Checks
Before approval we complete the relevant identity, right-to-work and reference checks. We tell you exactly what is needed.
04
Get offered work
Once approved, suitable jobs can be offered to you with the details and the pay, before you decide whether to accept.
What we look for
Experienced cleaners who work to a high standard.
Our customers pay for a properly finished clean, so the bar is practical rather than personal.
- Professional cleaning experience
- High standards and attention to detail
- Reliability — you turn up when you said you would
- Clear communication
- Able to travel reliably to the jobs you accept
Right to work
All cleaners must complete the required identity and right-to-work checks before being approved for Fussy Cleans jobs. We will explain what is needed if we get in touch.
Questions
The things cleaners ask us first.
Anything else, message us on WhatsApp on 07405 517 504.
Where are the jobs?
Mostly East and South East London. There is no hard postcode cut-off, and work further out may be offered depending on travel and the job itself. You tell us the areas you will realistically travel to.
How much does Fussy Cleans pay?
Pay varies by assignment. You will be told the pay being offered, along with the relevant job details, before you decide whether to accept.
Do you guarantee hours?
No. This is flexible work offered as it comes in, so we do not promise a set number of hours or a guaranteed weekly income.
What checks are required?
Identity and right-to-work checks before you are approved for jobs, and normally a reference. We will explain what is needed if we get in touch — do not send documents now.
Can I send someone else to a job?
Only cleaners who have completed Fussy Cleans' required onboarding and approval process may attend Fussy Cleans jobs. If another cleaner is needed, this must be agreed with Fussy Cleans in advance.
What happens after I register?
We review your details against the work coming through. If there looks to be a fit we contact you for a short conversation, then move on to checks. Not everyone we hear from will be taken on.
